Ekondo Titi school attack leaves two teachers dead & Several students with life-threatening injuries

A fresh school attack in Ekondo Titi has left at least two teachers dead and several students injured this morning after a group of unidentified gun men stormed a school promises.

Sources say the gun men invaded Government Bilingual High School, GBHS Ekondo Titi where students had assembled for classes like every other day, shooting indiscriminately leaving atleast 2 teachers dead and several students injured.

Unconfirmed sources claim other institutions in the town were also attacked subsequently.

Parents have since been rushing to school to get their kids and take them home.

MM is yet to confirm the identity of the attackers, but pro-government and pro-separatist supporters have been quick to throw the blame on each other with the separatist gainsaying that security officers have over the past few weeks carried out a series of targeted attack against school kids as two school kids were gunned down in Bamenda and Buea within less than a month, by security officers.

However the attack in Ekondo Titi also reflects similar attacks orchestrated by separatist fighters in different parts of the conflict-ridden Anglophone regions, as they seek to interrupt classes.

And the attack comes shortly after a bomb attack at the university of Buea which injured several students.

Meanwhile administrative authorities of Ekondo Titi as well as officials of the concerned school(s) are yet to make any official remarks regarding the heart breaking school attack.
